Our Ben Lomond High School art students recently explored the rich culture of Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a Mexican holiday celebrating the memory of loved ones. They created their own Alebrijes, fantastical and brightly painted folk art spirit creatures! 🐉

A huge shoutout to BL alum and local artist Leon Araujo for visiting our classes, donating supplies, and guiding our students at the start of this project. Leon helps organize the Día de los Muertos celebration and art contest.

We love seeing our alumni thrive and give back to our school and city. Swipe to check out the creative process!

Want to see the final masterpieces? Check out the over 40 Ben Lomond entries at First Friday Art Stroll on November 6 at The Monarch! Come out and support our student artists! 🎉
